“You know a dream is just a river. Ever changing as it flows. And a dreamer is just a vessel that must follow where it goes. Trying to learn from whats behind you and never knowing whats in store. Makes each day a constant battle, just to stay between the shores.
So I will sail my vessel. Until the river runs dry. Like a bird upon the wind, these waters are my sky. I will never reach my destination, if I never try. So, I will sail my vessel until the river runs dry.
Too many times we stand aside and let the water slip away. Until we put off till tomorrow, has now become today. So, don’t sit upon the shore, until you’re satisfied. Choose to chance the rapids, and dare to dance the tides.
There is bound to be rough waters, and I know I will take some falls, but with the good Lord as my captain, I am bound to make it through.
I will sail my vessel…” Garth Brooks
I begin soon. Very soon. I am ready. I have no hesitation at all that I am going where I should be going. I get that now. I have a dear friend, his name is Rick. I knew him in junior high school. We met again via Facebook a couple of years ago. He has been an amazing spiritual friend. Many times over the past couple of years he would say to me…”Laura you are right where you should be…” I couldn’t see it then. But now I realize, that everywhere I was, brought me to this moment. How cool is that! And how cool, is it that we are indeed, where we should be? We may not know why, at the particular moment in time, but it will become clear. And if it doesn’t…it’s okay..keep traveling down the road. When you hear a little voice that says,”go left”, when you are going right, make sure you listen. Our inner voices have much insight.
I look forward to being the Grasshopper that I am on this journey. I am open to the experience. I am willing to learn as I go. I know the teachings will be great. My biggest obstacle will be the chatter of my mind. The one that questions. But part of this journey for me is being able to clear out the clutter and make way for clarity in my life.
I begin this walk with so much joy. Although it certainly won’t be a walk in the park…it will indeed be a walk of a lifetime. It will be the beginning of many walks to come, many rivers to cross, and mountains to climb. I begin this journey with open arms. I know at times I will have to dig deep but, that’s okay. As one of my clients daughters proclaimed to me once,” I don’t pay for an easy workout!!”Life isn’t about easy. Life is about experience, in whatever form it appears. It is all how we handle what crosses our path.
Thank you for being my friend. With so much love…I walk.
